Nathaniel DeNicola is a physician and international author, speaker, and policy director in women’s health. In leadership roles with national (ACOG, AAP) and international (WHO, FIGO) medical societies he has directed new standards of care for how to protect pregnant women and children from the climate crisis, toxic chemicals, and natural disasters. In 2020, he and Bruce published a landmark JAMA review on the impacts of air pollution and heat on US pregnancies. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Vogue, and The Weather Channel. Nate resides and works in Southern California as an Ob/Gyn and Chief Medical Officer, has trained in health policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and holds an appointment with Johns Hopkins Health System in Washington, DC.
